We are making some exciting upgrades to our winery!
![]() |
The past 5 years of the winery's operation has relied on sales to friends, family & a small number of retail outlets. The support we have received has been wonderful and we are very grateful for it. A few weeks ago we had an unexpected thing happen. A couple of Ohio wine enthusiasts stopped by our facility as they were taking a self guided tour of wineries in our area, for us this was a first! They were a great couple and didn't mind the cozy atmosphere of our small building. They provided us with some good insight into what kinds of things visitors to our winery might expect. Their visit really motivated us to get some regular business hours. So, we have added two counters and seating. We are sprucing the place up, bottling some new wines and we can't wait to have you come visit! |
2010 Vintage
The 2010 vintage is taking GRZ Vineyards in a new direction. We are adding two new wines to our lineup and dropping two of our old standbys. While we will still make all of our Ohio grown favorites like Niagara, Chambourcin, Pink Catawba and Devils Rouge we have decided to add White Zinfandel and Chardonnay to the lineup. We are very excited about this change and judging from early samplings we think our customers will love the new wines!
New Bottling Equipment
| GRZ Vineyards continues to grow! One of areas we felt we had problems with last spring was in bottling. It was really hard to hand bottle all of the wine we made. So this winter Dan Guappone worked tirelessly at finding the winery a high quality and affordable bottle filler. He found a great used filler at another ohio winery, Harmony Hills Vineyards. The purchase of the bottle filler did more than resolve our bottling dilemma it helped us connect with the winemaker at Harmony Hills who has graciously given us some helpful advice. Thank you Harmony Hills and Nice Job Dan! | ![]() |
The Arc of Stark County Wine Tasting & Auction
|
GRZ Vineyards was proud to be one of seven wineries providing wine to the Arc of Stark County wine tasting and auction. The proceeds of the event benefited the Arc of Stark County, serving those with developmental disabilities. The event was a lot of fun. We heard many favorable comments about our wine. One event participant described our Fireside Red wine as, "The best red wine here". Considering the other wines at the event we were thrilled with the praise! |
